Can Ear Drops Taken After Undergoing Tympanoplasty Be The Cause Of White Discharge From Ears?
10 days after having tympanoplasty, the doctor prescribed ear drops to help dissolve the packing. My hearing gradually improved. Two weeks after the surgery, I noticed a small piece of white material come out of my ear. It appeared to resemble skin. I am very concerned this could be the skin graft used to patch the rupture. Is that possible? If so, could the ear drum still end up healing? I don t go back to the doctor for another 3 weeks.
hello there......thanks for your query.....don't be anxious.....whatever came out can be a piece of gel foam which is kept in the canal.....so nothing to actually worry about....it generally takes 3-5 weeks after tympanoplasty for things to be ok..
