Hi, for a while now I have had constant itching to my back and arms and I have had diabetes testing but no glucose was find. I also had a liver test. I am trying to cut down on my sugar intake to see if it will alleviate the problem but it is very difficult. Thank you!
Yes, one of my best friends is allergic to fructose (fruit sugar) and it causes rashes on her arms and she itches constantly. Try getting tested for specific types of sugar allergies... fructose, sucrose, etc. It also might possibly be a different food allergy that is found in a lot of sweets or sugary substances.
Hi,thanks for query.Normally allergy to sugar is not common.Because one or other form of sugar you are taking since your birth.please get in touch with a dermatologist for other reasons for your itching. In mean time, drink more liquids, wear cotton clothes, take bath twice in a day.bye.
Excessive sugar intake may cause a relative dehydration effect to your tissues which account for your itchy skin Keep yourself hydrated and also get your early morning blood sugar levels tested after an 8 hour fast through the night to rule out Diabetes.
