Can Enema Or An OTC Medication Be Taken For Constipation And Vomiting?

Hello, Doctor. Thank you for your time. For 3 days I have been vomiting about 4 hours after I eat, and everything I ate comes up. This does not happen if I am taking in liquid only. Also, I have not had a stool in 4 days. Is it ok to use an enema and/or an OTC constipation medication or do the symptoms suggest something more serious?

Hello,

You may be suffering from dyspepsia may be due to gastritis or pancreatitis or fatty liver disease or malabsorption syndromes or small intestinal bacterial overgrowth etc.

Take liquid diet regularly, avoid spicy food and caffeinated drinks.

Use tablet pantoprazole. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu,
