Hello! I am on vacation and cannot see a physician in my network. I have discomfort in my right jaw significant enough that it is difficult to chew and also hurts when I swallow if I am not careful to relax my jaw when swallowing. I also feel fullness in my right ear. About a week ago a sizable chunk of ear wax fell out of my ear. Is it possible that excess ear wax is causing this pain in my jaw? I am wondering if it is worthwhile to get a bulb syringe and hydrogen peroxide to try to clear wax from my ear. Any other suggestions? Thank you!
Hi. Impacted ear wax can cause jaw pain. You can use oral analgesic tablets for temporary pain relief. It is recommended that ear syringing should be done by a trained healthcare profession only. Thanks.
