Can Extreme Heat And Humidity Have An Effect On A Diabetic?
I was diagnosed about 2 years ago with Type 2 Diabetes. Living in South Florida, I am in warm or hot weather most of the time. I feel like the heat is bothering me a lot more than it used to. Can the extreme heat & humidity have an influence on my health as a diabetic? It seems like my numbers are a little higher than normal when it s really hot. Is it just my imagination or is there some correlation? Anything that I should be even more aware of this time of the year? Thanks in advance for your information!
Please get your thyroid profile (TSH,T3,T4) check up done. Immunity is reduced in diabetics and hence climate may have influence on health. Please avoid dryness of skin.
