Can Family Planning Operation In A Female Reversible?

Dear Doctor, I am 59 and my wife is 35 years and we married last year - for both 2nd time. Both of us had children in the previous marriage. She had undergone family planning operation about 12 years ago and now we wish to explore possibility of having children by reversing the operation if feasible. Please advise if it is possible to conceive at this stage.

Hello dear
I understand your concern
Conception is not possible if fallopian tube has been removed.
If tube is clamped then after recanalization surgery conception is possible.
Success of this operation depends on length of healthy tubes left behind after sterilization.
If recanalization is not possible then in vitro fertilization is the only option.
So consult you gynecologist and take proper advises.
Hope this may help you

Contact further if follow up needed
Best regards
Dr. Sagar
