Can Fatty Liver Be Treated With Diet Control And Exercise?

Hello I am waiting for biopsies to come back but my Doctor says looks like gastritis. So waiting to see if there is infection or not when biopsies are back. I also have fatty liver. Is the diet the same for both and can I get my liver back to normal with proper diet and exercise? I lost 100lbs 11yrs ago but recently gained 40 lbs 2 yrs ago when I quit smoking which has really been hard me. I am diabetic and was just told my TSH level is low .
