Can Fibroid Shrink Naturally What Is The Treatment?

Dear Dr. I am 42 years old, and I am desperate to get pregnant. I had miscarriage last march of 2012. But recently my ob/gyn told me that my fibroid grown and i can really feel it in my stomach. I am so worried every single day and i was so so frustrated because I know this will slim down my chance of getting pregnant. This time I urinate more often and i can feel the pressure on my urinary tract, do you think this is getting serious? Can fibroid shrink naturally? Or is there anything you can recommend without having surgery?

Hello
Thanks for writing to HCM

You are suffering from uterine fibroid .It is increasing in size and causing symptoms, also you want pregnancy.

Fibroid can be treated by both means conservatively and surgically depend upon many things like age, family is completed or not etc.
Gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) analogs are commonly used in the medical treatment of fibroids.

If conservative methods doesn't help, you may need myomectomy(surgical removal of fibroid).
Natural shrinkage is unlikely.

Hope I have answered your question.
Take Care
