Can Fibroids Block Tubes And Create Problems In Concieving?
Can fibroids actually block tubes,I have been trying 2 conceive 4 over a year now but 2 no avail.went 4 scan and my Dr said I have fibroids but I can still conceive with it cos it's not in a bad location xpt. It's blocking my tubes.pls help am worried.

Yes, fibroid do affect conception, but not all. Certain types of fibroids are known to decrease fertility. They include fibroids that are inside the uterine cavity and very large fibroids (>6 cm in diameter) that are located within the wall of the uterus. Because most women with fibroids will not be infertile, you and your partner should have a thorough evaluation to detect other problems that can decrease fertility. A fertility specialist can help determine if fibroids might be hampering their ability to conceive.
Once other causes for infertility is ruled out , treatment facilities are available for fibroid, medications to reduce size and surgical methods to remove fibroid.
