Can Flushing With Water Clear Off The Accidental Spraying Of Paint Into Eyes?
I was spray painting this afternoon and when recapping the paint it sprayed into my face. There were little drops on my forehead, nose. I closed my eyes when it startled me and I am hoping none got into my eyes. I flushed with water according to the can . There is no burning and my friend looked and did not see any paint.... If paint got into my eyes would there be burning, stinging? It has been four hours and they feel fine. Oh and I was wearing contacts at the time and immediately washed my hands and got them out before flushing.
Hi It appears that paint did not enter into your eyes.
In such a situation contacts will be saving cornea from paint if at all paint enters into one's eyes.
Contact lenses may be contaminated with paint in any such case but will save the cornea.
If at all paint enters one's eyes, it will cause gritty n burning sensation and watering with redness due to irritation. one has to wash his/ her eyes with water. One should start using lubricating eye drops along with one plain antibiotic eye drops.
