Can Folic Acid And Pregnacare Conception Tablets Be Taken Together?
hi i have been trying to get pregnant for 2years and i have been refferd to the gynacology and i had my first visit recently and i was givin folic acid 5mg because my bmi was over 30 and i have also start to take pregnacare conception tablets is that okay to take together
Pregnacare contains multi-nutrients supplement for improving nutrient levels in the females who are weak and trying to get pregnant. Maximum dosage of Folic acid is 50 mg per day. But there is no proven toxic effect for Folic acid. Common side effect of folic acid is the masking of pernicious anemia which is due to Vitamin B12 deficiency.
Pregnacare contains Folic acid, Vitamin B12, zinc, Iron and Vitamin D which are some of the essential nutrient needed for the body. Since, Folic acid is available in Pregnacare, there is no need of additional folic acid. But, the dosage is not that high to cause any adverse effects. So, you can carry the medicine.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
