Can Food Poising Happen Within 30 Minutes?

My husband had a chicken salad sandwich at a eatery that makes their own. Within 30 minutes he was extremely ill throwing up and he was sweating until his clothes were soaked. Could the chicken work that fast if not cooked well. He only had corn on the cob and tomato sandwich for lunch.

Thanks for your query.
Noted you history about your husband having chicken salad sandwich at a eatery and he was extremely ill, having vomiting and sweating till his clothes were soaked.
This can occur within half an hour die to a reaction to certain food additives, preservatives or additions that he never had previously.
Food poisoning may occur so fast but not expected as there must have been so many others those must have eaten the same things but if there is suffering of other people there is a chance of food poisoning.
I would advise you the following:
Preserve the vomit, stool in a plastic bag and send for analysis.
Rush to ER as he needs all sort of resuscitation.
