Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, 5 days ago I suddenly felt numbness in my right leg from the knee down. I cannot lift my foot. I went to my Family Dr. and he told me I have Foot Drop but do not know what caused it. He did do blood work to rule out Stroke.Should I worry and get a second opinion?
A foot drop can occur suddenly due to sleeping in wrong condition. A stroke never causes foot drop so do not be scared about that. I would recommend you to take Methylcobal tablet and then wait for 3 weeks . I hope your foot drop will recover if this does not happen then consult with an orhtopaedic surgeon.
