Can Foot Injury Causing Swelling, Bruising, Pain With A Lump Be Treated?

I bashed the top of my foot on a clothes rail whilst shopping two weeks ago. It immediately swelled up and with two hours my whole top of foot was swollen. This died down and severe bruising occurred all around my foot to my toes. The bruising is beginning to die down but I still have a very hard and tender lump where the initial impact was. I can't wear closed shoes just now because of the pain. What have I done?

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. It can be a superficial soft tissue injury and haematoma.Ice application initially for 2 -3 days followed by warm water bag helps in relieving that.NSAIDs like naproxen and Seratiopeptidase will give relief from swelling and pain.If any pain while joint movement or severe pain is there then an X ray should be taken in two projections to rule out any fractures. In case of sprain an elastic bandage should be applied for 1 to 2 weeks.Hope this may help you.
Let me know if you have any further query.
