Can Frequent Flares Of Fibromyalgia Be The Side Effects Of Lantus?
Hi,I am 59 years old and is diabetic and have been suffering with fibromyalgia for the last 5 yrs. I have been started on Lantus Insulin in January ,I take 16 units daily.I gain more than 3 kg of weight and getting frequent flares of Fibromyalgia.I am wondering if its the side effect of Lantus.

The lantus should not be causing the fibromyalgia flares. That is not a reported side effect, however if you feel your symptoms have worsened since being on the Lantus, ask your doctor to put you on a different medication and see if the flares become less.
