Can Garlic Juice Be Taken For Hemorrhoids?

Hello doctor! I was having piles at back of my anus and I read some articles online that garlic Juice can rid them off. I tried this and it was really worked for me after two weeks but now sometimes am still experiencing some itching inside my anus. what should I do?

Hello,

There are no studies support that garlic juice to cure hemorrhoids, but it may act as anti-inflammatory or antiseptic and antithrombotic etcetera. Itching may be due to infected hemorrhoids or thrombosed hemorrhoids or fissure in anus or worms in stool etcetera. Please check stool examination done, consult your surgeon he will examine and treat you accordingly.
