Can Generic Medication Cause Headache?

In terms of actual or practical experience in taking generic medicines, is it really possible for a person to feel a different effect compared to taking the branded equivalent? My mother usually takes the Neoblock branded tablets for hypertension. When we bought her the generic tablets, she said she gets a headache every after she takes one. -Terry

Hi,

She will want to check the blood pressure. Frequently. The FDA controls how much drug is in the pill and how much gets in. It is very hard to make rules for HOW FAST it gets in and out of individuals. The up and down can cause headaches.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
