Hello,
Lifestyle factors & nutrition during childhood and adolescence affect height. A person’s final height is mostly due to genetics, this cannot be denied. Genetics does play a role. For most people, height does not increase after 18 to 20 yrs of age due to the closure of the growth plates in bones. But I have seen people growing. Take food rich in calcium,
magnesium, zinc or you can also take supplements. Take adequate sunlight in the morning and vitamin D.
Take fruits and vegetable to combat any
nutritional deficiency and to help optimum bone growth. Eating enough protein is also essential for bone health. Take animal and plant protein. Include eggs, poultry, lean meats and dairy in your regular diet. Soy and other legumes are also high in protein.
Do stretch exercises, avoid picking up heavy weight. You can take the help of a Physical therapist to chiefly concentrate on exercises that will aid height gain. Do regular walking, loose weight if
obese. Maintain healthy weight. Practice good posture. Wear shoes that have heels.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
