Hi.. I'm 38 weeks on Wednesday and have started to feel quite sick.. have been suffering from edema for th past few days, have also had a bout of diahorea yesterday but today I'm feeling very nausea and have reflux... I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes... is this an thing to do with the diabetes or is this the start of labour?..
The symptoms you are experiencing could be related to a hormonal fluctuation which is common during pregnancy, and does not have to do with gestational diabetes. Although diarrhoea is not really common, it can at times be normal during pregnancy. To rule out any other abnormalities like stomach flu, gatroenteritis, etc; please report to your doctor.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes.
