Can Grommets Fitted In The Ear Cause Infection If Had For A Long Term?
Hi I have grommets fitted in both ears they were meant to be temp for 6 months but I ve had them over 2 years now. Constantly getting ear infections . For the last 2 months it s not so bad at work but once I m home relaxing . I feel dizzy and feel like I m going to pass out

Grommets if doesn't fall off in 1-2 yrs need to be removed. Usually the condition for what they have been put would usually have relieved by then. By Removal after perforation heals one can restart swimming and other water sports.
Grommets perse do not cause dizziness. Please get evaluated by a physician/ ENT.
