Can Having Intercourse Be Safe After Stent Being Placed In Ureter?
Hello, I am a 31 year-old female and had a stent placed in my ureter over a week ago due to a UPJ obstruction. I have no bleeding and barely any pain or discomfort. Wondering if it is safe to have sex, my urologist did not give me specifics on any restrictions. My stent will be removed oct 1.
The stent is high up in the ureter. It should not cause any problem during the sex. Even the underlying pathology requiring the stent does not prevent you from having sex. You can have physical relations freely. Avoid urinary infections. However, it is always a good idea to keep your urologist informed about it.
