Can Having Percocet For Years Cause High Cholesterol Levels?
I am only 29 years old and have been prescribed simvastin because I have very high cholesterol. I'm 5'10'' and about 170 lbs, at about average weight, and am wondering if all the percocet I've been taking for years is the reason my cholesterol is so high?
Usually percocet don't alter cholesterol levels. In your age statins are not recommended unless there is hereditary familial hypercholesterolemia or elevated cardiovascular risk. Before starting statin I would recommend you to check above mentioned conditions. And take statin if one of them is positive.
Hope I could help you
