Can He Take Drug For Pain Relief After Heart Surgery?
Father in law just had major heart surgery he was a heavy smoker and drinker but is giving that up now. He wants to take marijuana edibles when he gets out of hospital for pain and to calm him down. He is very high strung and weed is the only thing that ever mellowed him out. Would taking edibles be a bad idea due to his heart condition? We feel it might be a better alternative to pain pills but are concerned about his heart and blood pressure. Any advice on this subject?

a consult with his doctor, preferably a cardiologist, is best in his clinical situation. in some countries, marijuana edibles are legalized. but a professional consult must be done first. improper use and improper medication might just lead to more harm than help. his drug interactions, along with his comorbidities must also be checked accordingly.
