Dear Sir Thanks for writing to HCM. Yes, indeed swelling of legs is one of the prominent features of heart failure. This may or may not be associated with shortness of breath. Usually the swelling will involve both limbs equally. It will not be associated with pain or redness of legs. You should consult your GP at earliest and proceed accordingly. Sincerely Sukhvinder
