Can Heat Cause Rapid Heartbeat?

the other day i was in the heat when my heart felt like it was hit with a hammer. uncontrolled sweating,breathing. pain went from heart down arms. ribs were sore and tender after. was really tired after. yesterday it happened after only a few minutes in sun. i am overweight,smoke,eat alot of fast food. i am male. 40 years old.
