Can Hemorrhoids Cause Blood In Stool?

Can hemorrhoids cause a lot of blood in stools, so much that the toilet is full of blood that's light red, along with feeling like pushing out glass while trying to have a bowel movement and stools getting stuck sometimes to the point that you have to remove it yourself, I also have IBS and wondering if that can cause any of this.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You may be suffering from acute hemorrhoids bleed or fissure in another or infection etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. It may cause rectum or Vascular ectasia or polyps etc. Please consult your surgeon immediately he will examine through proctoscope and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
