Can Herpes 2 Cause Blood In Urine And Mucus In Stools?

Can herpes 2 cause blood in urine or mucus in stool? I have been to a urologist and received a thorough inspection of my kidney, bladder, and prostate. All were fine. All started with macroscopic blood in urine. I still have a rash on my face and head of penis and feel fatigued. Just curious if these symptoms are related to herpes or am I dealing with another problem. I have also had a gi scope and am on a maintenance drug pantaprozole for heartburn.

Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. Blood in urine and mucus in stools, both are of different locations, and possibly not related to herpes 2.
2. On urine examination, urinary tract infection can be evaluated. Also, will need evaluation, if it is hemoglobinuria or hematuria. If there is no pus cells, and hematuria is present. then further renal biopsy maybe necessary for evaluation.
3. If it is hemoglobinuria, reticulocyte count, peripheral smear and complete hemogram will be necessary.
4. Mucus in stools could be due to reduced fiber in diet. Increase fiber in diet. As there is no history of pain, no infection can be thought of. If there is any constipation or diarrhea - then colonoscopy will be necessary.
5. Test reports and more clinical details necessary for further opinion.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
