Can Herpes Cause Abscess On Buttocks?

ok i recently got herpes 1 in both places and then i got a bad abscess on my butt and i have never had them before ok then i gave my herpes to my boyfriend and now he has a abscess on his butt and its bad we both went to the hospital can u please tell us why we have abscess and what is the cause of it ??? we both got the abcess at different times mine was about a week and a half before his

Thank you for query.herpes is usually not known to cause abscesses.it may be due to secondary infection of herpes or an infection by the bacteria itself.These can spread to other partner due to direct contact.So both of you take treatment like topical antibiotic and oral antibiotic after consulting your doctor.it may require drainage of abscess if large.You can get back to me for any clarifications with the photos.Dr Bharatesh D Basti Dermatologist and Venereologist
