Can High Cholesterol Cause Numbness And Cold Feeling In Arms?
on occasion, i have been experiencing left arm dull ache with numbness and feeling cold. I start rubbing it up and down to stimulate circulation and raise the arm over my head and it goes eventually away but slowly. what do you think this might be? my most recent cholesterol level is 219.
High cholesterol can't cause itself such symptoms, but it can cause atherosclerotic disease, which can lead to narrowing of vessels, as a result you can have symptoms. It is highly depends on your age, if you are young it is very unlikely you can have atherosclerosis and changes in arteries. In young age it is mostly caused by functional neurological problems or peripherial artery spasm.
Hope I could help you
Wish you good health
