Hello user,
Thanks for your query.
After evaluating yiour query, i can for sure say that
Melatonin has nothing to do with the odd smell in urine.
However, there are many other treatable cause that may contribute to the smell in urine.
1. First of all, you have to be sure that you do not suffer from
urinary tract infection or UTI. If you have increased frequency of micturition or burning micturition along with
fever, these are suggestive of UTI. In this case , you have to get a routine exmination of urine done. Your attending physician can suggest you and in case your urine has pus cells, then these pus cells may contribute to the odd smell in urine .
However , there are many other causes for the odd smell in urine which can be easily tackled by you.
1. Drinking plenty of water is the most important and easiest way.
2. You can also try Coconut water, lemon juice and green tea since these also add upto the total amount of fluid intake and help in increasing the urine output.
3. If you are into
smoking or taking alcohol , remember that these substances when excreted impart an odour to the uine. So try to avoid the abuse of these substances.
4. Maintain complete hygiene of your private parts since bactrerial invasion are very common in these area and may impart a foul odour.
I am sure upon taking these measures , you ll be able to get rid of the odd smell. In case the problem persist, do attend to your physician and discuss with him if getting a routine examination of urine will help or not.
Hope i have answered your query,
Do let me know if i can help you with any other questions,
Do feel free to send me the report of urine examination if you get it done.
