Can Hysterectomy Cause Stiffness Of The Whole Body Which Is So Embarrassing?

I recently had a hysterectomy (ocotber 25, 2013), before that I was taking 2 birthcontrol pills daily for over a year. I've noticed that I am stiff all over. If I sit in the car too long or at work and even when I am lying on the couch. Also my stiffness is on all extremties and the bottom of my feet hurt. I'm also suffering from my hand falling asleep anytime i bend my arms mostly at night when I'm sleeping. Once I move around it starts to feel better. Its very embarrasing at work because I can hardly move.

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The stiffness in whole of the body is not related to hysterectomy directly. This can happen due to the hormonal changes associated with the removal of the ovaries alongwith the uterus.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
