may i apply minoxidil 10% solution on my scalp,and at the same time is there minoxidil 5mg tablets to take internally

It is safe to apply Minoxidil externally on the scalp region,however the prescription of Minoxidil tablet is strictly reserved for patients with hypertension, since its a potent anti-hypertensive.It can cause pericardial effusion, occasionally progressing to tamponade, and angina pectoris conditions. Therefore avoid such medication until prescribed by your physician.
