hi doc,i had sex on 14th july 2015..that is yesterday at around 6.15pm....i later took the postinor 2 at around 7.40pm that night...hw am i sure that it will work cz ts ma 2nd time takin it...i took it last mnth before my coming period on 16th july this mnth....n hw am i sure am not pregnant cz ma boyfriend ejaculated in me yesterday
Postinor 2, which are emergency contraception pills which are highly effective if taken in proper dose and in time. They are to be consumed within 72, preferably within 24 hours after unprotected intercourse. You have taken these tablets in proper dose within first two hours of unprotected intercourse. So the chances of pregnancy are very meagre. Wait for the periods to appear. If they do not in time, you may perform urine pregnancy test and/or ultrasonography 8-10 days after missed period. These tests done earlier may be inconclusive.
