Can I Get Pregnant Post Unprotected Sex Despite Missing A Birth Control Pill?
Hello. I need an opinion....I was taking Doryx for about 4 days and I am also on birth control. I stopped taking it and took my bc regularly for 2 days and had unprotected sex. Now i am in the second week of my birth control pack and feel mild cramps. Is this pregnancy or is this my mind playing games with me
Please remove from your mind that cramps is a symptom of pregnancy.
In fact throughout the cycle, missing of three pills is permissible, however dropping pills for two consecutive days is not a assuring event. Still, continue taking the pills regularly for the remaining days. After completing the pack, you should get menses within 4-7 days if you have not conceived. If you do not get menses, then a week after the completion of pack, you may perform pregnancy test on the overnight first morning urine sample. Earlier, these tests may give false negative results. The other more reliable option is to go for Beta hCG test which gives reliable results even few days before missed period.
However, I feel the chances of not being pregnant would be more; still I would like to keep my fingers crossed.
I hope this helps you.
