Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello,my daughter had derotational surgery 4 weeks ago.She started her period 7 days ago and for the past 3 day she is bleeding heavily. Our doctor suggested not to take any NSAIDS as they will slow down the recovery. He is out of the country and I need to know if I can give my daughter Ponstan Forte or it is dangerous in our situation.Thank you
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. Yes, ponstan forte is a good drug to be taken for the bleeding. It can be taken twice daily. However I strongly suggest you to meet a gynecologist for further work up.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Rakesh Madhyastha
