Hi, I am Munmun Dey. My age is 28+. I have spina bifida and faced severe pain sometimes.
I am overweight. I had retention of urine and was under medication for 7 yrs. Recently, I am planning
for my first baby. Please tell me whether my spinal problem could make the situation worse.

Hello
Welcome here.
During pregnancy there can be exacerbation in back pain. But just because of this, no female can be advised against pregnancy.
First you must try to loose some weight as this also increases back pain.
Second, consult your gynecologist about the pregnancy issues.
Since you have been on pain killer medicines for long, please about their wash out time (from your body) and the timing of pregnancy.
Hope this helps.
Thanks.
