Can I Reduce The Dose Of 'mirtaz' If Feeling Less Depressed?

i am 67 yrs old...height 5'7"......weight65kg... i have high bp and for that i am taking medicine....i have been taking mirtaz 7.5 dose since last 20 days for dipression.....now i am feeling much better.....let me know ....do i have to reduce the dose n stop when i feel ok or i can stop as soon as i am fine.....

In your case, you should take continuously for next 6 to 9 months.if you try to reduce the dose, it could lead to either relapse of depression or withdrawal symptoms. In depression, duration of treatment is about 6 to 9 months. Do not leave drug without psychiatrist consultation. In case, you need further help, you can ask.
