Can I Take Fioricet With Codeine When I Had Steroid Injection?
I received a steroid injection this morning for poison ivy. I also now have a migraine which I normally take Fioricet with codeine. Can I go ahead and take the Fioricet with Codeine even though I had a steroid injection? Is there any danger of an interaction? Thank you.

Fioricet contains 3 ingredients, acetaminophen, caffeine and butalbital. There is some interaction between the butalbital and the steroid.
The butalbital can decrease the levels of the steroid by affecting its metabolism.
This is the only known interaction.
If the allergy response is in control then this should not be a problem.
