Can I Take Medicine For Swelling On Cheek?

Hi, I can't get into my dentist for a few days. I was prescribed Nitrofurantoin for a urinary track infection. Can I use that for now. My face has a golf ball coming out of my cheek! I have heard that a dentist is going to tell me to take anitbiotics before they can do anything anyway. This way I can at least take the swelling and infection down. I am in SO MUCH PAIN.

Hi,
Thanks for posting the query,
This can be due to allergic reaction, i would suggest you to stop the medication consult to the nearby Dentist and get the checkup done.
At home take lukewarm saline and antiseptic mouthwash rinses.
For pain relief take tab brufen BD for 5 days.
