Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been prescribed amitriptyline (10mg) for sciatica. However, I also take omeprazole (20mg) for refulx that I ve suffered with for 10 plus years. I have been told by someone that talking both medications at the same could kill you. Is this true and if so why? I also suffer with chronic asthma that I was born with and I am currently on Ventolin and Seretide and my asthma is fairly well controlled. I have for the moment stopped taking the omeprazole as I am trying to come off it anyway but thought I would now especially after hearing about the 2 drugs together.

Can I Take Two Drugs Together?
Hello, No, there is no contraindication to take your medication with each other, it will not kill you for sure. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr Salah Saad Shoman, Internal Medicine Specialist
