Can I Take 'zyloric' And 'zestrial' If Suffering From Thyroid Problem?

Dear doctor last month on my blood test my physician advised me u hav started hyperthyroid ,,becoz my T3 & T4 levels are high.. I was taking medicnes for last 10 yrs on uric acid ( Zyloric 100 mg) and blood pressure tablest also for 10 yrs. ( Zestrial 10 mg) both r under control all the times.. I have alergic problems also,, so i take zytrec 2 tablets per week ... Is any adverse effect of these medicines on my thyroid problem now... I was taken some times liquor also ( monthly twice on very few level) .. is it connected with my disease and now i am on evalution for 1 month and next month my blood check up doctor told me he will decide to take any medicines for Hyper thyroid..can u pls send me a reply for my problems ,, how to treat to all these and which are thins i want 2 avoid... pls

I have gone through your question.
I can understand your concern.

You have hypertension and gout. You are taking medicine for that. They have no any connection with your hyperthyroidism. So don't worry about that. Continue your zyloric and zestrial according to advice.


For hyperthyroidism check your TSH, T3 and T4 level and plan accordingly.

Drugs like propel this uracil or methimazole are useful. These are prescription based medicine so consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly.
