Can Impetigo Affect The Shoulders After Its Replacement?
I have been diagnosed with impetigo, staph, and I have been treating it since the first week in March. I have been taking Clindamycin 300 mg. 3 x s for 14 days, and using Mupirocin ointment 3 x s daily. I have had a right shoulder replacement...can this bacterial infection have affect on my shoulder? I know when I go to the dentist, I have to take 2000mg of Amoxicillin one hour before my appt.

If your wounds are healed then there are very fewer chances. But yes in remote chances, this can spread to your implants and can cause problems.
