Can Infection Caused By Sexual Relations Cause Fluid Leak On The Tip Of The Penis?
Hello Doc im a 25 year old male and have been noticing that I have a waterlike with white fluid leak on the tip of my penis. Its painless and odourless and its the second time i am experiencing this, could it be a form of an infection as i am sexually active? thank you for your time
Water-like viscus fluid that leaks from the urethral opening when you got sexually aroused is a quite normal phenomenon. This has no relation either with semen or any STD.It is called as precum or pro-semen or pre-ejaculatory fluid that helps in cleaning the urethral passage and for safe passage of sperms without any destruction. If it is not associated with sexual arousal and leaking continuously then it could be due to STD like chlamydia or Mycoplasma. Examination of the fluid under microscope or a simple urine examination will reveal whether it is due an infection or a normal fluid. Nothing to worry. Dr S.Murugan
