My husband has type 2 diabetes, hes48. I am 43 in great health.we lost a baby fullterm stillborn 3 yrs ago. We really want to have a baby. He doesn t have any other children. We don t have a lot of money to do fertility treatment. Is it possible he is sterile due to diabetes? I did an at home sperm count on him and it showed he has sufficient count. Is it possible for us to get pregnant? He is healthy other than he sweats a lot and drinks beer everyday, just a couple which I said he should stop
Dear Madam, I think you have a good chance of getting pregnant. Please take your husband for proper sperm analysis which will tell you about viable sperm and the motility. If both those parameters are also good then i do not see any reason for infertility. Plan your days of intercourse properly. Get back for any further guidance. Dr.Riyaz Sheriff
