Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Exposure to smoke causes low oxygen and can cause seizure episodes due to lack of oxygen. However, it is better to do an MRI scan and electrolytes to look for any underlying causes. If the seizure caused by hypoxia(lack of oxygen) it won’t reappear again.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

General Surgeon Dr. Shinas Hussain's  Response
Hi,

Smoke can temporarily cut of oxygen delivery to the brain and may cause seizure attacks. Nothing much to worry as it won’t cause any permanent damage to brain. As of now, no treatment is required.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
