Can Inhaling Paint Causes Swelling And Pain In Throat?
I was tinting a cars headlights and taillights using spray paint, I did not put a mask on, after spraying my throat felt a little swollen and it hurts when I cough, swallow and my adams apple also hurts a little when i move it up and down. Should i be worried!
Hi. Thanks for your query. It is very true that the paints are after all made up of the chemicals, such ones that once they stuck to the surface can be fixed. This is the reason that the traces of the chemicals that stuck on your part of the respiratory system namely the throat will show the reaction in the form of edema, cough, pain. I would advise you to rush to the ER as you may need a clinical evaluation, internal examination and supportive therapy if need be. Do not try anything at home except if you have antihistamines, oral steroids.
