Can Injury On Butocks Cause Vaginal Bleeding?

I am a 51 year old woman. I take hormones. I have not had any vaginal bleeding for the past three years. I week ago I slipped and fell hard on my buttocks. I have had pain in in vaginal area since then and have extensive bruising of the buttocks. Today I noticed that I am bleeding flightly in the vagina. Could there be a connection between the two?
