Can Intact Hysterectomy Stitches Cause Internal Problems?

I had a hysterectomy 9 weeks ago and so far have pulled out 2 full in tact stitches from my stomach incisions( not dissolved at all, still had the knot in it) and now I have a stitch poking through my vaginal wall. What are the chances the doctor used the wrong kind of stitches? Is it possible to have internal problems if the stitches do not come out or get stuck inside my body?
