Noted the history of interstitial cystitis for years as a child of sexual abuse and now have been told that you have chronic bladder syndrome although you do not have any urinary infection at the moment. Wants to know whether diet has any role in the chronic pain that you have../. Yes, there can be a role of diet in chronic pain. I would advise you the following: Make a real, written list of the things you eat or drink that enhance any pain, gastrointestinal or urinary symptoms or symptoms related to allergy, respiratory system or so on. This is done with keen observation and then you need to stop the foods and beverages that increase the problems of any sort including the pain of urinary origin.
