Can Itching Caused By Methotrexate And UVB Treatment Be Relieved?
Hi,I have just started treatment with methotrexate for a rare lymphoma. (lymphomatoid papulosos;aka Macauly's disease. I am also getting UVB treatments 3x a week. Any suggestions on relieving the itching that goes with this. Have already tried coco butter, aloe fresh and ointment. and a host of others. I am running out of options. Anything to point me in the right direction would help. Thank you Bill
Itching with methotrexate is a rare thing. usually while giving methotrexate Oncologists will premedicate with steroids and antihistamines. if this happens after couple of days a short course of steroids, with topical cortisone cream will do the job. Same applies to radiation induced dermatitis as well.
